Tricks for the 7s

  • The hardest table for most kids. Learn the few it has left once you know the others: 7 × 7 = 49, 7 × 8 = 56.
  • 5, 6, 7, 8: 56 = 7 × 8.

Turn it around

7 × 7 is the same as 7 × 7. If you already know a fact from another table, you know it here too. Of the twelve 7s facts, the ones up to 7 × 6 also live in the smaller tables, so the 7s add only 6 new facts once you know the tables before them.
