These are the at-home (remotely proctored) CLT dates open to any student. Schools that give the CLT set their own dates and register their students themselves.

Cost and registration

  • The CLT costs $112 (the CLT10 is $69; the CLT3-8 tests are $39). The price includes Student Analytics and unlimited score sharing with colleges.
  • Register with a free account on the official site. Students testing at school are registered by the school.
  • Fee assistance can cover up to the full cost for students who qualify. Apply at least two weeks before the registration deadline.
  • Refunds can be requested before the original registration deadline.
  • At-home testing runs between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Eastern on the test day.

Accommodations

The CLT offers 25%, 50% and 100% extended time, and accommodations for students with Type 1 diabetes. Requests must reach Classic Learning Initiatives at least four weeks before the test date. Colleges are not told about accommodations.

How to use the weeks before your test

  • Take a full timed practice test now to get a starting score.
  • Spend most of your time on your weakest section; the app shows which one it is after the first test.
  • Take a second full test about two weeks before the real one, under real timing, with no calculator.
