Tricks for the 6s

  • Six times an even number ends in that same digit: 6 × 4 = 24, 6 × 6 = 36, 6 × 8 = 48.
  • Five times, plus one more: 6 × 7 = 35 + 7 = 42.

Turn it around

6 × 7 is the same as 7 × 6. If you already know a fact from another table, you know it here too. Of the twelve 6s facts, the ones up to 6 × 5 also live in the smaller tables, so the 6s add only 7 new facts once you know the tables before them.
